Are you 18 years of age or older?

Have to be 18 years or older to take survey.

Have you lived in North Dakota in the last year or longer?

History of NDJOSSS

The beginning idea for this survey began decades ago when Wendelin Hume administered numerous statewide surveys in the state of Texas for a project known as the Texas Crime Poll. The Crime Poll was administered by the College of Criminal Justice at Sam Houston State University. Years later Wendelin Hume assisted the North Dakota State Supreme Court with a statewide survey of all legal professionals to examine gender equity in the North Dakota Courts. In both of these instances, the findings from the research prompted improvements in the state justice systems.

Goals of NDJOSSS

Our goals are to collect, analyze, and disseminate information gathered from residents across the state regarding justice, technology, and social services. We also wish to inform the public, justice officials and service providers about met and unmet needs of the citizens.  Ultimately we wish to create safer and better informed and connected communities in our state.

Thank you
